FIRST TIME SETUP FROM A MACINTOSH (OS 10.4) COMPUTER
FOR NETWORK PRINTING TO A CANON COPIER
Notes: 1. You must be an administrator on your Mac to complete this process.
2. You must perform these instructions (i.e., install a printer driver) for every
copier to which you want to print.
Locate the Canon copier to which you want to print. Get two pieces of information from
it; then call the IT Help Desk at 310-506-HELP (4357) to obtain the copier’s IP address.
First, note its Model Number. The model number is located on the front of the copier.
Second, obtain its Printer Number from the label on the front of the copier.

After you have the model number (from the copier) and its IP address (from the IT Help
Desk) for the copier to which you want to print, you are ready to go on to the next step
which is to download the driver.
With your web browser, navigate to:
http://opd.usa.canon.com/html/download/imagerunner.html
Based on the model number you obtained from the front of the copier, click on the same
model number from the list that appears on the Driver and Downloads web page. In this
example the copier/printer is an ImageRUNNER 3570.
The following Driver and Downloads page will appear.
Scroll down to Canon PSv1.40 104-103-102-101 installer.hqx and double-click it to
install the driver for standard copier/printer functionality.
