Introduction and Purpose:
TAFE Marketing Office manages the sourcing, design, production, and quality control of
promotional items for the Division. For example, caps, clothing, drink bottles, key rings and pens.
TAFE Marketing ensures that goods are produced in a timely fashion and adhere to all corporate
style guidelines.
All promotional items must have TAFE Marketing approval and are coordinated through the TAFE
Marketing Administrator (TMA).
Instructions:
Borrowing of Promotional Items
Who Tasks
TMA Staff wishing to borrow promotional items belonging to the TAFE Marketing Group (eg
banners) must fill in a Borrowing Promotional Items Request Form, as far in advance
as possible, and sign for them upon pick-up and return. Requests attended in order of
receipt. All items must be returned in original condition and all repairs/replacement paid
for.
Purchasing of Promotional Stock Items
Who Tasks
TMA Requests for existing promotional stock items to be placed at least two (2) weeks prior to
the event. To order please fill in a Promotional Items Request Form.
NB: TAFE Marketing will provide some promotional items free of charge for major
activities such as Open Day, Information Evenings etc. For all other activities,
Departments will be charged for items at cost.
Creating New Promotional Items
Who Tasks
Internal If departments/areas wish to produce their own promotional items, they must ensure that
clients they meet corporate style guidelines, either by checking with TAFE Marketing or the
Swinburne Art Department.
TMA Requests for TAFE Marketing to source, coordinate and manage purchase of items
(including banners, corporate gifts, etc) on behalf of individual areas within the Division
must forward a Promotional Items Request Form at least six (6) weeks prior to
deadline (dependent upon availability)
